Terms & Conditions
Last updated: 13 October 2026
1. About these terms
These terms apply when you use this website and when you book an EICR inspection or electrical work with Certi Sprint (“Certi Sprint”, “we”, “us”). Your quote may include additional details specific to your job; if anything in your quote conflicts with these terms, the quote takes priority.
If you are a consumer, nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights, including under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013.
2. Using this website
Information on this site is for general guidance. We keep it accurate and up to date, but it is not a substitute for advice about your specific property. Summaries of legal requirements may not cover every situation. The Certi Sprint name, logo and content belong to us and may not be reused without permission. We are not responsible for the content of external websites we link to.
3. Enquiries and quotes
- Sending an enquiry does not create a booking or a contract.
- Prices shown as “from” are starting prices and exclude VAT unless stated. Your price depends on the property and the work required, and is confirmed in a written quote.
- Quotes are valid for 30 days unless stated otherwise.
- A contract is formed when you accept our quote and we confirm an appointment.
4. Bookings and appointments
- We’ll agree an appointment date and time with you. Arrival times are estimates and can occasionally be affected by traffic or earlier jobs; we’ll let you know if we’re running late.
- If you need to reschedule, please give us at least 24 hours’ notice.
- If we can’t carry out the work at the agreed time because we can’t get access, or the property isn’t ready, we may charge a reasonable call-out fee, which we’ll tell you about in your quote.
5. Your responsibilities
- Provide safe access to the property, the consumer unit (fuse board), meter and every room included in the work.
- If the property is occupied by tenants or others, let them know about the appointment and that the power will be switched off for periods.
- Tell us about anything we should know, such as known faults, hazards, alarms, medical equipment or vulnerable occupants.
- Back up or protect equipment that could be affected by power interruptions.
6. EICR inspections and reports
- An EICR records the condition of the fixed electrical installation at the time of inspection, in line with BS 7671. It is not a guarantee that the installation will remain in that condition.
- The extent of the inspection and any limitations (for example rooms we can’t access, fixed coverings we can’t remove, or circuits that can’t be switched off) are agreed with you and recorded on the report. Inspection of accessories may be on a sampling basis where agreed.
- The report may be “unsatisfactory” if issues coded C1, C2 or FI are found. Remedial work is not included in the EICR price; we can quote for it separately if you wish.
- If we find a danger present (C1), we may need to make it safe or isolate the circuit immediately, and we’ll explain why.
- Your report is issued within 24 hours of the inspection.
7. Repairs and installations
- We carry out work with reasonable care and skill, using suitable materials, to current wiring regulations.
- If we find something during a job that changes what’s needed, we’ll explain it and agree any extra work and cost with you before going ahead.
- Where certification is required for the work, we’ll provide the appropriate certificate.
8. Prices and payment
- Payment is due on completion of the work, unless your quote says otherwise.
- Prices are shown with VAT stated separately where VAT applies.
- If an invoice isn’t paid when due, we may charge statutory interest for business customers and may withhold certificates until payment is received, where the law allows.
9. Your right to cancel (consumers)
If you are a consumer and the contract is agreed away from our business premises (for example at your home, by phone or online), you can cancel within 14 days of the contract being made, without giving a reason, by telling us clearly by email, phone or in writing.
- If you ask us to start work within the 14-day period and then cancel, you’ll pay for the work done up to the point you told us.
- If you ask us to start within the 14 days and the service is completed in that time, you will lose the right to cancel once it’s complete.
- Any refund due will be paid within 14 days using the same payment method.
10. Our responsibility to you
- We are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of us breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care and skill.
- We are not responsible for existing defects in the installation that we identify or that were outside the agreed scope.
- Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law.
- For business customers, we are not liable for loss of profit, business interruption or indirect loss.
11. Complaints
If you’re unhappy with any part of our service, please tell us through our contact form or by phone on 020 8066 2499 and we’ll do our best to put things right.
12. General
- We may update these terms. The version in force when you accept a quote applies to that job.
- If any part of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the rest remains in effect.
- These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction.
